The Control Operator is vital to the smooth operation of the entire warehouse level, as his vectors and directions to the speeder pilots immediately affects the speed with which the rest of the staff can perform their duties. The Control Operator is the person that briefs the Pilot team for their delivery schedule every morning, making sure they are all in good health and shape before performing their first run for the day, and also the last person to debrief them at the shift’s end, noting anything of importance that might have transpired, including any damages their vehicles might have developed. The OOC information What started as a simple backdrop for my character, has started to expand into a moderately successful business. With the aid of Ruchira Letane acting as a managing partner, the CFCS is in a position to offer several ideas for people interested in Business RP. Anyone that might wish to integrate a little “legal” package delivery in their RP, can use the Crimson Falcon in their roleplay as an actual Courier Service. According to your needs (and our schedule perimitting) I can arrange to NPC a courier drop if required. This is a guild but it is not required to have guild membership in order to work with us, or for us. Guild Membership will have some added perks - like trying to offer story content to you folks - though it’s mostly a template for people that might be looking for a Day Job in Nar Shaddaa that doesn’t involve dancing, smuggling, assassinating ~~or illegal dealings~~. Spoiler: The Crimson Falcon FAQShow First, I’d like to stress again, while the CFCS is a guild this is an In-Character, Open World initiative to provide anyone that feels like it a backdrop of “work”. We are not going to require you to leave your current guild if you want to get involved with his and quite contrary, we would adore it if people from other guilds came to work here, making this a "living, breathing" thing. A simple FAQ below might seem handy. Who is this directed to? Normally, folks that are not heavily involved with smuggling crews, pirate crews or other high-value businesses that make credits by the thousands. The Crimson Falcon will offer Lore-compatible monthly wages for those that want to either roleplay locals on Nar Shaddaa, or for people that want a “Cover” of legitimate work. Of course, side-dealings can and may occur, but never on "official" Crimson Falcon knowledge. Is this a new guild? Yes and no. The whole point is not to drag people away from any guilds, but to simply provide more immersion to those that are either guildless (by choice) or guilded and would like to add another layer of believability. There is a guild available, for those that like the company tag under their name, but there are no mandatory "guild events", or "guild rules". That being said, people that want to wear our CFCS guild tag with pride are highly appreciated When is this ‘work’ taking place? Ideally, while your characters are offline. While there is nothing to stop you from roleplaying “work” scenarios and there is a Guild Stronghold with some decoration (infinite work in progress) to be used as the company main offices. Also, an ongoing plot might yield a Guild ship, though that is far from complete. it will not be required, nor expected to limit your RP in the CFCS premises and cut you off from your regular roleplaying spots and hubs. It will be there in case you want to "show your working place" to someone or in case you want to roleplay a scene at a speeder / courier bay or at your work environment. How many spots are open? We are using a spreadsheet to calculate costs and income for every aspect of the company - from rent and jobs to salaries. So, the availability of work will depend entirely on the final balance that will result from that spreadsheet. This means that as long as there are droids and speeder pilots to bring in more income, more “office” positions will be open. As the pilots lessen, we may have to cut back on some losses and fire office staff. What should a Crimson Falcon employee expect out of this? Anyone that wants to become a Crimson Falcon employee can expect the following: + A monthly IC, PM or In-game mail with a brief description of how the previous period went. In this e-mail, events (if any) regarding each person’s position will be offered to be incorporated with their RP so they’ll have something to speak about work. Details will be left intentionally vague, so that we can all add our own personal touch. + Once in a while, depending on how the RP goes, we might send out invitations for an IC company meeting. This, however, is entirely optional and only for people that would be interested for something like this. + Depending on our contacts and plots we get involved, side jobs might become available, allowing your character to get involved in other people's plots. This, however, depends entirely on how 'well known' and 'well connected' the company becomes. What would the Crimson Falcon management expect from its employees in return?** In short - very low maintenance stuff. Just have fun and roleplay you have a job, and we'll have our own kind of fun by providing you with clues on how your work goes. Wear our CFCS guild tag with pride, find us more work (or not) and roleplay to your hearts' desire! Anything more you want to offer, however, will be gladly received and worked over to incorporate to more and more roleplay. Will there be events? Depending on how much ‘gravity’ this whole thing has, you may find being invited into other people’s events, to roleplay your working character, or when manage to get a neat group going, we intend to start a plot that has to do with our off planet trader route (and the main source of our income). Ruchira Letane - my partner and equal in all decision making and business strategic decisions - has, in the short term she has been affiliated with us, managed to bring a new level of sophistication and professionalism into the company and has achieved to establish our name as a respectable and dependent brand in the Y’toub system and beyond. Thanks to her unending energy and determination, we are in the position to boast: A standing contract with the Emerald Corporation in order to provide their estabishment - the Velvet Pearl with passenger services and resupply runs from local warehouses to the establishment The formation of the Crimson Falcon Security Services - an internal group of employees to handle secure transfers when an additional feeling of safety is required. The successful supervision of the initial distribution regarding the Serrat Relief Fund and the follow up meetings that this task required, Numerous contacts, new employee interviews and crisis management exercises that have all led the Crimson Falcon brand at a higher quality standard than she had originally found it. Last, but not least, through her aid and involvement, we have expanded to a more prestigious Highrise on the moon of Nar Shaddaa, where our new offices have been operating for the past few months. In recognition of her skill and commitment, the least that can be done is to grant her the sole position of Executive Manager in the brand and grant all decision making authority to her. By extent, this announcement means that I will be stepping down from an executive role. In the years that I have been running the Crimson Falcon, my greatest achievement has been to keep it open, while in the months that Ruchira has come aboard, she has come to convince us all that the sky is the limit. Of course, that does not mean that the brand is over for me. I will still be affiliated as a pilot and consultant, focusing my attention to our new grand project, meticulously paced by the careful budget management of Ruchira. Speaking of which, on the second half of this announcement, I would like to notify you all of the status of our new project - the refit of the Tython Spark, the first in what we hope to be a fleet of Light-to-Medium bulk freighters, thus allowing the Crimson Falcon to truly take off from the confines of a single system and join a much greater market as a full shipping company. The Tython Spark - a vessel salvaged after decades of floating in space - is currently still drydocked in orbit around Nar Shaddaa. The restoration process continues as scheduled and - at this point - she is a habitable vessel, though still not space travel worthy. Once the entire restoration is complete, we’ll be in the fortunate position to boast a Light Freighter of a total cargo hold just shy of two thousand metric tonnes - a significant upgrade from our current limited space transports fleet of mostly external associates. Additionally, taking in full consideration the state of galactic affairs, the vessel is planned to boast a broad utility role, from passenger transport to diplomatic vessel and several other requirements in between - anything except a military or combat craft, actually. Our hope is that the brand of the Crimson Falcon will be closely tied with the words of “cooperation” and “success” in the coming future, and that the sight of the Tython Spark will be synonymous to relief and satisfaction - across business and humanitarian boards.
